{"id":1292,"date":"2018-11-06T22:44:12","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T03:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cheflorious.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=1292"},"modified":"2018-11-06T22:44:12","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T03:44:12","slug":"southern-corn-pudding","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/everthemes.com\/wptest\/es\/portfolio\/southern-corn-pudding\/","title":{"rendered":"Southern Corn Pudding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<!--WPRM Recipe 9599--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Southern Corn Pudding<\/h2>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"http:\/\/cheflorious.com\/staging\/3551\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/corn-pudding-tnail-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<p>There&#039;s nothing quite like sweet corn&#8230;except when you add cream and flour and turn it into corn pudding.\u00a0 You know I take it up another notch and add bacon, onions and cheese.\u00a0 Then it becomes Calibama Corn Pudding!\u00a0 Enjoy&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<ul>\n<li>4 cups corn<\/li>\n<li>2 cups half and half<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs, lightly beaten<\/li>\n<li>4 slices bacon, fried crisp and chopped<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup yellow onion, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup green pepper, chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbsp flour<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 cup shredded cheddar cheese<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp cayenne (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>In a skillet Cook bacon crisp.  Chop it and set it aside (reserve 2 -3 tablespoons of bacon fat).\n<\/li>\n<li>In the same skillet cook the onions and green peppers until soft. Then remove from heat.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl combine corn, softened onions and peppers, and cooked bacon. Mix well.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate bowl combine half and half, lightly beaten, flour, eggs, salt, sugar, and cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Combine wet and dry ingredients together. Stir well.<\/li>\n<li>Place in 9 x 13 baking dish or 12 inch cast iron skillet, sprayed with baking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Back for 1 hour.
