{"id":1370,"date":"2019-02-06T11:34:55","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T16:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cheflorious.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=1370"},"modified":"2019-02-06T11:34:55","modified_gmt":"2019-02-06T16:34:55","slug":"peppercorn-seared-salmon-with-caramelized-shallots-fig-chutney","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/everthemes.com\/wptest\/portfolio\/peppercorn-seared-salmon-with-caramelized-shallots-fig-chutney\/","title":{"rendered":"Peppercorn Seared Salmon with Caramelized Shallots &#038; Fig Chutney"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<p><!--WPRM Recipe 9581--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Peppercorn Seared Salmon with Caramelized Shallots &amp; Fig Chutney<\/h2>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"http:\/\/cheflorious.com\/staging\/3551\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/peppercorn-salmon-tnail-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>Peppercorn Seared Salmon<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb. salmon filets<\/li>\n<li>salt &amp; peppercorns<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter<\/li>\n<li>olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Caramelized Shallots &amp; Fig Chutney<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>2 medium shallots, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup figs, chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbsp brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp butter<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<h4>Prepare the Salmon:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat olive oil in skillet on medium-high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Season salmon with salt and season generously with peppercorns.  <\/li>\n<li>Place seasoned salmon in heated oil and sear each side of the salmon for approximately 3 \u2013 4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove skillet from heat, and add \u00bd cup butter.<\/li>\n<li>Broil in oven at 450 degrees for 7 &#8211; 9 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Prepare the Chutney:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a skillet over medium heat, heat butter and olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Add shallots and brown sugar to butter and olive oil; cook until brown sugar dissolves, and the shallots are soft and fragrant.
