Leave stems in tact.<br \/>\nOptional: cut in half and remove seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all other ingredients in medium stock pot. Bring almost to a boil. <\/li>\n<li>When simmering, add pears. <\/li>\n<li>Cover and simmer pears in liquid for 15 &#8211; 20 minutes.
