{"id":605,"date":"2017-12-09T00:16:23","date_gmt":"2017-12-09T05:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cheflorious.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=605"},"modified":"2017-12-09T00:16:23","modified_gmt":"2017-12-09T05:16:23","slug":"red-velvet-pound-cake","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/everthemes.com\/wptest\/portfolio\/red-velvet-pound-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Velvet Pound Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<!--WPRM Recipe 9773--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Red Velvet Pound Cake<\/h2>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"http:\/\/cheflorious.com\/staging\/3551\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/red-velvet-tnail-1-150x150.jpg\"\/>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<p>Christmas isn&#039;t Christmas without red velvet cake!\u00a0 Here&#039;s another confession&#8230; layered red velvet cakes are sometimes a little bit a pain to put together.\u00a0 The first time I tried this as a pound cake several years ago, the cake came out a little too dry for me.\u00a0 So I messed around a little bit more, and then BOOM!\u00a0 I figured out what to do.\u00a0 The beauty of pound cakes, is there are so many variations, you can just keep messing around until it&#039;s just like you want it.\u00a0\u00a0So, I came up with a way to enjoy the benefits of red velvet, without a dry cake.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare yourself, this cake is so moist and delicious, you won&#039;t know what to do!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-equipment\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<h4>For the cake&#8230;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>3 cups cake flour<\/li>\n<li>3 cups sugar<\/li>\n<li>6 eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa<\/li>\n<li>2 sticks butter, softened<\/li>\n<li>1 block cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>2 ozs red food coloring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For the glaze&#8230;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/3 cup marscapone cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 block cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup powdered sugar (more\/less to test)<\/li>\n<li>Add Milk\/Cream ((add 1 &#8211; 2 Tbps at a time, until desired consistency is achieved))<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<h4>Prepare the cake<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Cream softened butter and cream cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar and cream together.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder and food coloring.  Mix until becomes like paste.<\/li>\n<li>Combine cocoa-coloring paste in with sugar and cream mixture.  Mix well until all fully incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Add eggs one at a time.<\/li>\n<li>Add cake flour, one cup at a time.<\/li>\n<li>When flour well combined, add vanilla.  Mix all well.<\/li>\n<li>Pour batter into sprayed\/greased bundt cake pan.  Do not full over 1\/2 to 1\/3 of pan.<\/li>\n<li>Bake on 325 for 1 hr 15 minutes.  Until toothpick comes out clean.<\/li>\n<li>Let cake cool on baking rack for approx 10 minutes, then flip cake over.<\/li>\n<li>Spread glaze once cake has cooled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Prepare the glaze&#8230;<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine cream cheese, marscapone cheese, sifted powder sugar.
