Quick and Healthy Breakfast: Oatmeal with Dates

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup Milk or water
  • dash Salt
  • Dates, chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (to taste)
  1. Combine all except brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Cook according oatmeal container.
    (I microwave it for about 5 minutes total. 2 1/2 minutes at first, then 1 minute intervals stirring between each one until desired thickness is achieved.)
  3. Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir well.
  4. Enjoy!
